Nebulous surroundings Senses daze perception Colors hypnotising Ephemeral noise The violent waves The recurring raging tides Straying farther From solid ground Demanding resolution Countless voices Spewing poison Gullibility a scheme Paralyzing unwinding illusions Suffer insignificance Falter in disarray Hauled by the leash The wretched indifference The forest of knowledge Does not hold the answers The expanding limitations Stared into its eyes Obliterating Accrued recollections Revealing a movement Unspoiled by tradition Untouched by ideation

Paths outlined Patterns created Meaningless means Redundant righteousness Credulous accordance Lethargic bliss Thrust in apprehension In the empire of division Narratives recited Approve or dispel Searching something That cannot be obtained Submerged By the current of contrivance Trampled in the trenches Of direction Under the guise Of deliverance Design deciphered Ensue the unrest Watching within the void The disorder drowns In an ocean of silence Embracing cessation Belonging to no one Belonging to nothing

about

Gavran released their well received second album “Indistinct Beacon” on dunk!records in 2022. Now Gavran is back to release their new split EP “Ocean of Silence”. The EP is a split with drummer and vocalist Jamie his brand new doomy solo project “Svjetlost”.

With Ocean of Silence, Svjetlost finally sees the light. A project born out of the urgency to further explore the creation of music. With bands like YOB, Sleep and High on Fire as a big source of inspiration, Svjetlost wants to hit harder than a meteorite, sometimes with a touch of Balkan roots and also leaning on dreamy, psychedelic atmospheres.

Nastavi is basically the culmination of the 5 years of our bands existence. A tour de force of all the styles, emotions and dynamics our band has had up to now. Its content is an observation of the human psyche and the complete negation of its limitations.

The EP was produced by Marius Prins from the band Throwing Bricks and recorded in their own practice space in homecity Rotterdam. The EP was mixed and mastered by Tim de Gieter (Amenra, Doodseskader) at Much Luv Studio where the band also recorded their previous records. The captivating artwork was made by Joost Vervoort from Dutch black metal band Terzij de Horde.
